Glen Dale Reubart January 19, 1926 to December 5, 2012 Glen Dale Reubart's dignified struggle with Alzheimer's ended on Wednesday, December 5th, 2012. Dale was many things to many people: Dad, husband, brother, son, grandfather, friend, professor, doctor of music (from the University of Southern California), mentor, performer, composer, author, lover of the arts, and lover of life. Throughout his life he encouraged people to see beauty in its many forms - a musical phrase, or an entire symphony, an oil on canvas, a word penned, a perfectly executed half volley, any goal, however modest, achieved through determination. In Dale's 23 year tenure with UBC, in private mentorship with students "with the fire," in other artistic circles and, of course, with family, many benefited from Dale's remarkable influence; he will be sorely missed. A celebration of Dale's life will be scheduled in the New Year. Dal segno al fine, Papa.
