HAY, Stanley Harold
1933 - 2012
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected death of our brother Stan who died in spite of valiant efforts by the fire fighters and paramedics when his home in New Westminster was destroyed by fire. He is survived by his long time partner Carol Olson, his mother Bertha Cruthers, sister Carolyn Bach (husband Derrill) and brother Ron (wife Edelone.) Also nephews Darryl, Jeffrey, Phillip, and nieces Deborah and Ashley and their families. Stan and Carol loved dancing and had many friends in the square dance community. Stan was also well known and liked by his friends in Alcoholics Anonymous to which he dedicated much of his time over a span of 54 years. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 21st at the First Memorial Services Burkeview Chapel 1340 Dominion Ave. Port Coquitlam, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to the ALS Society of BC or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
