ROBERTS, Gail Jean nee (Campbell)
Born September 29, 1940 in Vancouver, BC. Passed away peacefully at home, after her short battle with Cancer, surrounded by those who loved her, December 22, 2012 in Port Moody, BC. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 51 years, Harry, their daughters Kathy (Chuck) Bardossy, Joanne (Alan) Lucken, her beloved grandchildren, David and Daniel Lucken and Robert and Curtis Bardossy; three brothers, Wally and wife Judy, John and Tom Campbell, Brother- in-law Ted and wife Joni; special friends, Ernie and Kathy Chisholm and Morley Luscombe; and numerous other friends around the world. Gail enjoyed square dancing, travelling, watching her grandsons play sports and any time at The Glen. Gail was greatly respected for her work with Vancouver and Coquitlam School Districts. She worked Night School in Vancouver, 20 years as Head Secretary at Banting Junior Secondary School, then opened Glen Eagle Secondary School and worked there for a few years before she retired. She then volunteered at The Terry Fox Foundation for 13 years. Extra special thanks to The Hospice Palliative Home Health Team in Tri- Cities West Wing - Dr. Warneboldt, Nurses Marie and Sue as well as Home Health Workers Thelma and Amene. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at The Como Lake United Church, located at 535 Marmont Street, Coquitlam, BC. Refreshments will be served following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to The Terry Fox Foundation.
