It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rose Miller on January 11, 2013 at her home in North Vancouver. Rose was 77. She will be forever missed by her loving husband Keith, her children Doug Wrean (Alanna), Shelley Wrean (Peter Seddon), and Patricia Wrean (Tony Gray), her stepdaughter Terri Miller, her grandchildren Andrew and Alissa Wrean, her sisters Hilda Emily Main and Linda Breuer (Guenter), her niece Jennifer Breuer, her sister-in-law Lorraine Balderson, and her many close friends. Rose was a kind, loving and generous wife, mother and friend. She loved reading, cooking and travelling. She treasured her yearly sojourn to Florida to escape the November rain in Vancouver. A lifelong bridge enthusiast (and Gold Life Master), Rose volunteered at senior centres in West and North Vancouver where she and Keith taught bridge for many years. She was active in her church and community, and will always be remembered for her patience, humour and selfless ways. A service will be held for Rose on Sunday, January 20 at 2 p.m. at Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Blvd, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC or Highlands United Church would be greatly appreciated.
