Beth passed away peacefully on August 10, 2012 at the age of 81 years.



Beth was predeceased by her loving husband Jim, her mother Mabel, father Alexander, sisters Jean and Alma and brother Donald. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Rod, granddaughter Brooke, her brothers Edmond (Anita) and Melvin (Eleanor), her brother-in-law Garry (Dinah), her nieces and nephews Curtis (Cathy), Darcee, Trisha (Luca) and Matthew, her cousins Peter and Eileen and family, as well as grandnieces and grandnephews, and her many close and longtime friends.



Beth was born on the family farm near Penzance and spent her early years in Saskatchewan. She attended the one-room Sarnia School and then went on to attend high school in Liberty. She took business courses in Regina and worked for Houston Willoughby there before moving with her sister Alma to Calgary, where she worked for Canadian Oil.



Beth moved to Vancouver where she met Jim, a fellow Saskatchewan farm kid and the love of her life. She spent many happy years in North Vancouver raising their daughter Kim and nurturing many close and long-lasting friendships. Beth was devoted to her family and her many friends and loved nothing better than one of the Anthony's memorable get-togethers. Her kind heart and generous spirit touched many.



A celebration of Beth's life will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at 10:00 am at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver followed by interment and then a reception.



The family would like to thank Dr. Sun, Dr. Laskin, Dr. Walker, Dr. Ortynsky, the staff at the B.C. Cancer Agency and the home care nurses and care aids from the North Shore Home & Community Care Services and Evergreen Nursing Services for their wonderful care and support.
