Mr. Donald E. Snowberger(1945 - 2018)

Mr. Donald E. Snowberger, 73, of Reservoir Ave., Waynesboro, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 28, 2018, in his home.
Born June 18, 1945 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Theodore M. and Gladys I. (Staley) Snowberger. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
He and his wife, Evelyn Kay (Stites) Snowberger, were married on May 2, 1965.
Mr. Snowberger worked as a machinist for Frick Company, Waynesboro. He retired in April 2009 after more than 40 years of service with the company.
He was a life member of William Max McLaughlin V.F.W. Post #695, Waynesboro and was a member of The Owl's Club, Waynesboro.
Mr. Snowberger enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball, Washington Redskins Football, and Notre Dame Football. He also enjoyed his weekly movies with his daughter, Debbie and meals with his grandson Ryan, at Keystone Family Restaurant, Waynesboro.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debby S. Shanholtz and her husband, Jerrin and Donna K. Gsell, both of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Amy Swartz and Ryan Shanholtz, both of Waynesboro; two great-grandsons, Carson Swartz and Cole Swartz, both of Waynesboro; one brother, Ted Snowberger of Waynesboro; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Shearer.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 4, 2018, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Pastor John Weber officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
There will be no public viewing, however the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Tuesday morning, in the funeral home.
