William S. "Willy" Trostle Obituary
William S. "Willy" Trostle, 52, of 44 Wynnecrest Drive, Waynesboro, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at 9:25 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, in the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Dec. 5, 1961, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Eunice G. (Grove) Statler of Waynesboro and the late F. Dean Trostle. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
Willy graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1979. He later attended trucking school.
He and his wife, Lisa J. McCrea, were married on March 14, 2014, in Waynesboro.
Willy was currently employed as a road foreman for Antrim Township. He had worked for the township for nearly 20 years.
He was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1191, Eagles Club, Inc., and The Owl's Club, all of Waynesboro.
Willy enjoyed boating, camping, and his dog, Jake.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one stepdaughter, Ashley George of Waynesboro; two brothers, Wade Trostle and his wife, Vicky of Fort Worth, Texas; and Mark Trostle and his wife, Michelle of Oakton, Va.; his stepsister, Susan Bridgers of Pittsboro, N.C.; and a number of aunts, cousins, nieces, and one nephew.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two stepfathers: Harvey C. Bridgers Jr. and Charles L. Statler.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Christine Callaway officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Saturday afternoon, in the funeral home.
