Clara L. (McCleaf) King Obituary
Mrs. Clara L. (McCleaf) King, 86, of Northwood Court, Blue Ridge Summit, PA passed away Friday morning, September 7, 2018 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born March 1, 1932 in Fairfield, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Warren) McCleaf.
Mrs. King was a graduate of Washington Township High School with the Class of 1951.
She and her husband, the late Calvin A. King, were married December 15, 1956. Mr. King passed away September 19, 1985.
In her early life, Mrs. King was employed as local telephone operator and at Rexall Drug Store, Blue Ridge Summit. She was later employed at the Waynesboro Hospital, retiring in 2012 after more than 30 years of service.
Mrs. King enjoyed sewing, reading, and watching old movies.
She is survived by two children, Leesa L. King of Waynesboro, PA and Michael T. King and his wife and Mrs. King's loving daughter-in-law, Selma of Blue Ridge Summit; two grandchildren, Ashley Caspillo and Jessica King; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Vance, Kylie, and Skyler; a brother Warren McCleaf of Waynesboro; one niece, Brenda Toms; and one nephew, Greg McCleaf.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro, PA with Pastor Carl Batzel officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, S. Potomac Street, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to East Coast Exotic Animal Rescue, 320 Zoo Road, Fairfield, PA 17320.
