Edwin L. "Ed" Mohn Jr. Obituary
Edwin L. "Ed" Mohn Jr., 57, of 2140 Newman Road, Fayetteville, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, in his home.
Born June 18, 1956, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of Edwin L. Mohn Sr. and Verda May (Barnhart) Mohn of Mont Alto, Pa.
He was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1974.
Mr. Mohn was employed at Landis Machine Co., Rotorex and also worked various construction jobs.
He was a former member of ABATE and HOG Chapter having participated many times in the Rolling Thunder the Veteran's Memorial Ride to Martinsburg, W.Va. He was an avid Harley-Davidson and Mopar fan. He enjoyed riding his Harley, working on vehicles and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion of 16 years, Cathy Ann Scofield; three stepchildren, Candi Sharrah of Waynesboro, Jim Scofield of Boonsboro, Md., and Kiki Painter of Waynesboro; seven stepgrandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Susan Staley of Queen City, Texas, Sunday Gossert of Winter Haven, Fla., and Ellen Freeman of Waynesboro; two brothers, Solomon Mohn and Andrew Mohn, both of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Pastor Steve Overholt officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening, in the funeral home.
