Crouse, 88, of 218 Barnett Ave., Waynesboro, died at 11:30 a.m. in the Chambersburg Hospital. Our father was born on Jan. 21, 1926, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late William J. and Bertha M. (Koons) Crouse. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area. Our parents were married on May 18, 1951, celebrating over 62 years of marriage.
He was a farmer for the best part of his life, spending most of those years working farmland for the former Miller/Moore Feed and Grain in Waynecastle. After a short move to the Linn farm in Hagerstown, he worked several years on the Kenneth Oaks farm in Greencastle. Prior to retiring in April 1989 he worked at Landis Machine Co., Waynesboro, for 10 years.
Our Dad enjoyed his hours of woodworking in his shop when we lived in Zullinger Pa. While he was able, there was a garden every year in the backyard. In addition to his wife Anna Phyllis, he is survived by four children, Dianne Stonesifer and her husband, Donnie of Emmitsburg, Md., Sue Crouse of Hagerstown Md., Paul W.
