Daris Willard Ford Obituary
Daris Willard Ford, 79, of 17306 Ontario Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away, Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at the Williamsport Retirement Village.
Born Sunday, May 5, 1935, in Center Point, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Carl W. Ford and the late Bessie V. (Kellar) Ford.
He graduated from Washington Township High School in 1953, and later from Tennessee Temple University in 1973. Daris served with the National Guard for four years, and was pastor of Baptist Temple in Hagerstown for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bonnie K. Ford, daughters, Pam Yesacavage and husband John, Terri Null and husband Ryan, sons, Brad Ford and wife Donna, Eric Ford and wife Tammie, Scott Ford and wife Angie, and 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Harvest Baptist Church, 951 Woodland Way, Hagerstown, Maryland, with the Rev. James E. Moore officiating.
Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Maryland, on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
