Madelyn L. (Knight) Haugh Obituary
Madelyn L. (Knight) Haugh, 91, a resident of Quincy Village and formerly of 514 Fairview Ave., both of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, in the nursing home.
Born Aug. 5, 1923, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Portner) Knight. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
Mrs. Haugh graduated from Waynesboro High School with the class of 1941
She and her husband of over 73 years, Glenn F. Haugh Sr., were married on June 14, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mrs. Haugh was a member of Calvary Assembly of God, Waynesboro, and enjoyed reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Glenn F. "Phil" Haugh Jr. of Bradford, Massachusetts, Anthony A. "Tony" Haugh and his wife, Donna of Waynesboro, and Barry L. Haugh and his wife, Beverly of Hampstead, Maryland; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Dwan N. Newsome officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
There will be no public viewing, however the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Saturday afternoon in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Calvary Assembly of God, 116 Snider Ave., Waynesboro, PA 17268 or Quincy Village Benevolent Care Fund, 6596 Orphanage Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
