Our hearts were broken at the passing of Charles "Mel" Kleeberger on Saturday, March 2. Mel passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him after a short battle with cancer. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Helen; sons, Randy of Rancho Cordova and Steve (Anne); daughter, Phyllis Seelye all of Dixon; brother, Lee (Coralee) of Carlsbad; grandchildren, Stephanie Van Dyke, Tony Soares, Stevie Kleeberger, Darryl and Ryan Seelye; great grandchildren, Jonathon, Anthony, Mason, and Bella. Born in Canada, he and Helen immigrated to Dixon in 1949 where he worked on the Curry Ranch. He retired from UC Davis after 26 years.
A memorial service was held March 5, at the Dixon Methodist Church. Join us for his graveside service at the Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon on Monday, April 1, at 11 a.m.
