Fred James Hearn Sr.

Fred James Hearn Sr., passed away peacefully on March 30, at 3:40 a.m.
He was born on Aug.17, 1919 in Sacramento, Calif., son of James and Clara Hernandez. He was loved for his witty sense of humor and his sweet kind ways.
He is a WWII Veteran and served in the US Army as a military policeman.  He married Alma Doris Stewart from Memphis Tennessee on May 12, 1952.   They moved back to Sacramento, Calif.; he later divorced and remarried Josephine Dalen on May 5, 1981. His passion was golf. He insisted he had the first tee time at day break almost every Saturday and Sunday. After he retired from the car business, where he was a service and parts manager, he studied to be a fireman and EMT. He worked for the Middle Town Fire Department and the Department of Forestry.
He is survived by his brother, Tom Hernandez; son, Fred Hearn, Jr. of Vacaville; daughter, Patricia Arnett of Rio Vista; grandchildren, Jamie, Ashley, Baillie, Danielle and Alexander, and great-grandchild, Jameson. 
 Dad kept life simple and appreciated being with his family. We are planning a private family service at Dixon Cemetery to honor his military service to his country and to celebrate his memory. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate making donations in memory of Fred Hearn Sr., to the Vacaville Opportunity House or the .
