Aug. 25, 1948 - Sept. 5, 2012
Linda Ahlquist departed for heaven peacefully in her sleep at home due to complications from kidney failure, diabetes and cancer. She lived her whole life within 50 miles of her birthplace, the last 35 years in Vacaville, where she gained and nourished many friendships.
Linda was raised in Pleasant Hill with her brother, Richard, by Donald and Marion Hansen. She is survived by her father, Donald Hansen; her husband, Donovan, also known as Skinny; brother, Richard and his family; our son, Ricky, his wife, Jodi, their daughter and our grand-daughter, Holly; our daughter, Tamara Urbach, her husband, Rob, their daughter and our second grand-daughter, Avery. Her grandmothers, Virginia Zaer and Cerrita LaFrenz; mother, Marion Hansen, and sister-in-law, Shauna Hansen were waiting her arrival in heaven with many others we love and miss.
She was a 1966 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School.
She was a loving mother and day care mother, and an accomplished cook, loving to prepare and serve wonderful food to her guests and family. She was also known as Pansy due to her love for those flowers. She will be missed by many.
Linda's wish was to have no funeral services of any kind. We will have a memorial ceremony, celebrating her life at a later date.
