Michael Dennis Cobb

May 6, 1950 – June 4, 2013
Heaven must have needed one more cowboy. On June 4, Michael Dennis Cobb "Chipper", 63, lost his battle with cancer. Mike was born May 6, 1950 in New Hampshire and resided in Vacaville the majority of his life. He was a veteran of the US Army; proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War, a passionate life time member of the NRA, a devout believer in the 2nd amendment and a past member of the Dixon Boat Club. He spent much of his younger years as a cowboy/hunting guide in Idaho. Mike returned to Vacaville, working for Chandlers Furniture as a flooring installer and later starting his own flooring company. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and loved his dogs! In addition to hunting and fishing he enjoyed camping and spending time around the camp fire with family and friends, telling hunting stories and showing the younger generation a thing or two about life. Mike had a contagious laugh that could light up a room, a laugh in which all who knew him will miss.
Mike is survived by the love of his life, Donna; his children, Micah, Wyatt, Baley, Josh; mother, Margaret; brothers and sister-in-laws, Mark and Linda, Larry and Susie; nieces, Heather and husband Nick, Sarah, Mattie, Serena; nephews, Jeremy and Joseph. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 20, at 2 p.m., at the Dixon Boat Club, Bartelett Rd., Dixon. So put on your best camo gear and join us in celebrating the life of this amazing man who touched us all and gave laughing a whole new meaning!! For questions or directions please contact Kelli Nance 707-720-3855. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike's memory to the NRA
