Ramona Iona Reed

Passed away on Sept 19, at the age of 82, in her home in Vacaville with her family beside her.
Born: June 9, 1930 at Wray, Colorado, in the county of Yuma Country. (In Wray, Colorado Hospital). Growing up in the Depression, she lived in Wray, Yuma County, Colorado, graduated from high school in June of 1948. In May of 1953 she met husband, Ben Reed, in the Air Force, and they married on the Nov. 30, 1954, at the Methodist Church in Oakland, California. 
They started their married live as an Air Force couple and traveled; when Ben was discharged Jan. 14, 1960. Ben hired on with United Airlines, and they lived in Fremont, then San Jose, before moving and settling in Vacaville, California in 1979.
Ramona was a homemaker, cub scout den mother, girl scout leader, baseball team mother, and her other children activities she supported. Her hobbies, home crafting, decorating, collecting teddy bears, brass figures, paintings, and traveling the United States covering 49 states, Mexico and Canada. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
Surviving is her husband, Ben Reed Sr., children, son, Ben Reed Jr. and daughter, Karen Sigler; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Ron Parker, Centennial, CO, and Teddy Bear, Godfrey.
Preceded in death by her father, Julius Sparks Parker (1985), mother, Dorothy Parker (Ward) (1999), both from Wray Colorado. and sister, Jane Jones (Parker) (2003). 
Ramona will be cremated with a private ceremony, with her ashes spread throughout the Oregon Coast, where she spent many hours enjoying the ocean coast where she would comment, "I always felt free and relaxed by the ocean coast."
