Wayne Coleman Greer

Wayne Coleman Greer passed out of this world Nov. 16, after a long battle with the after affects of the Vietnam War. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Wayne was born to Marvin and Wanda Greer, Nov. 29, 1934 in San Diego, CA. His father was a Chief Petty Officer aboard the Battleship USS North Carolina during World War II. Marvin retired after thirty years of service.
Like his father, Wayne was a military man. He served twenty years in the United States Air force serving his country in Korea, Thailand and two deployments in Vietnam. He was a armament and munitions expert, with many years of his service at Travis Air Force Base.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Virginia; his three sons, Wayne Jr., Tim and Don; her two sons, James and Timothy; his brother, Gerry; and his sister, Edith and Patti. He also had 10 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, all girls.
Wayne spent much of his adult life in Fairfield and surrounding areas as a Heating and Air Conditioning Contractor, and a long time up scale Custom Home Builder with a legacy of many beautiful homes in the area.
Wayne was an avid fisherman and boating enthusiast and a member of the Solano Yacht Club. He was also an avid restorer of automobiles and boats, and won many awards as a result of those efforts.
Funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 23, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 West Texas St., Fairfield, CA., beginning at 11 a.m. Immediately thereafter there will be a Celebration of Life to be held at the Solano Yacht Club, 703 Civic Center Blvd., Suisun City, CA 94585.
