William Boyd Coleman, 86, passed away April 30, in Santa Rosa, Calif.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, May 8, at 2 p.m., at Adobe Creek Funeral Home, 331 Lakeville St Petaluma, Calif.
Bill was born in Ukiah on March 2, 1928 to Cecil H. Coleman and Louisa Gielow Coleman. His mother passed away when he was 12 and his father married Helen Swim Coleman. He had two sisters, Jackie and Nancy.
He married the woman of his dreams, Lois Mink Coleman on June 25, 1950 and together they had five children, Bill, Anne, Alan, Cecilia, and Jeff.
Bill joined the Air Force in 1946 and proudly served his country for 24 years in Accounting and Finance. One of his many accomplishments was the creation of direct deposit for military personnel. He served in the Korean and Vietnam War
and had the opportunity to travel to Norway and Guatemala and several places within the United States.
Bill enjoyed the outdoors and had a spirit of adventure. He had a passion for golf, hunting, and fishing. He passed that love to his children and grandchildren.
Bill was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who touched the lives of many. He will be forever missed and always treasured. Bill is survived by his children, Anne Cuellar, Alan and Jeff Coleman, and their spouses, Bob, Staci, and Jennifer and sister, Jackie Brackett. He was also the proud grandfather of Randy, Matt, Kenny, Bailey, Nick, and Breanna, and great-grandfather of Samantha, Michael, Aiden, Grace, Isabella, Jeremiah, Stella, Noah, Sophia, and Nicole.
