Shirley Elizabeth Houghton, 75, passed away on Monday, Aug. 15.
She was born in Peacedale, R.I., to Robert Joseph Williams Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Perry on March 31, 1936.
Shirley was a property owner/manager for 30 years. She enjoyed oil painting, traveling and taking care of her family.
Shirley is survived by her sister, Winnie Mastrofine, and many nieces and nephews of Rhode Island; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Mike Kain of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Nancy Stanley of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Dana and Beverly Stanley of Sunriver, Ore.; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Tina Stanley of Vacaville; 10 grandchildren, Jeanette Wareham, Jennifer Yoha, Joe Stanley and Robert Lewis, all of Vacaville, Lynette Conner of Elk Grove, James Williams of Sacramento, Jennifer Moynihan of Roseville; Alisha Stanley of Bristow, Va.; Ted Wareham of Lincoln, Calif.; and Danielle Pittam of Chandler, Ariz.; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Elizabeth Perry; father, Robert Joseph Williams Sr.; and brother, Robert Joseph Williams Jr.
A viewing will be held on Monday, Aug. 22, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. A service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, Fairfield, with Jim Hapgood officiating. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery in Vacaville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, http://www.alz.org/ join-the-cause-donate.asp, Tribute/Memorial Donation in Shirley Elizabeth Houghton's name.

My heart and sympathies go out to the Family. Shirley was a wonderful woman and will never be forgotten . As hard as it is to know she's no longer on this earth, it's comforting to know she's no longer suffering.
