Edna Bereziuk, 84, of Vacaville, passed away peacefully after a short battle with lung cancer on Wednesday, Oct. 27 in Vacaville.
She was born on July 21, 1926, in Detroit.
Edna was a devoted wife and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and her friends at Merrill Gardens. She was also a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Raymond Bereziuk in 2008.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Joe Sacca of Vacaville, Cheryl and Robert Arkebauer of Plumas Lake, Calif., Susan and David Atiyeh of Livonia, Mich., Bonnie and David Wright of Hemet, Calif., and Patricia and Skip Pascoe of Brighton, Mich.; son, Raymond Bereziuk of Cheyenne, Wyo.; brother, George May of Surprise, Ariz.; sister, Norene Vargo of Bay City, Mich.; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held today from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11 a.m., both at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Father Matthew Marankulam will be officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NorthBay Hospice, Susan G. Komen or St. Jude Children's Hospital.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. It's comforting to know that God cares for all of us. The Bible gives us hope that one day we can see our loved ones again. On behalf of all mankind Jesus surrendered his soul. John 15:13 says “No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul on behalf of his friends.” Truly I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and I hope these few words will bring you comfort and hope.
