Ray Lommatzsch, 83, of Vacaville, passed away in Vacaville after a brief illness on Saturday, Dec. 4.
He was born in St. Paul, Minn., on June 21, 1927.
Ray was the owner of a heating and air conditioning company for 30 years from 1960 to 1990.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, LaRena Lommatzsch; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Luis Romero; son, Michael Lommatzsch; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Max Lindley; and three grandchildren, Thomas Romero, Daniel Romero and Adriana Romero.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reinhold and Rose Lommatzsch; and daughter, Elizabeth Lommatzsch.
Per his request, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis High School Elizabeth Lommatzsch Memorial, 1885 Miramonte Ave., Mountain View, CA 94040-4098.

Dear Mrs. Lommatzsch,
Malcolm & I offer our thoughts & prayers for you & your family w/ heartfelt sympathy. Ray was such an inspiration seen bicycling, walking, scootering around the block with such energy & determination! We would never have known he was in his 80s. If there's anything we can do, pls let us know.
