Darlaine Johnson of Vacaville, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at UCSF Medical Center on Friday, Nov. 26, following a long illness.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Fortunati of Vacaville; son, Bill (Sondra) Johnson of Fairfield; grandchildren, Sondra Litwin of Vacaville, Jason Fortunati of Fairfield, Julie and Ryan Johnson of Fair-field; great-grandchildren, Nick Litwin, Ashley Litwin, Noah Johnson, Brody and Presley Fortunati; and beloved companion, Jack Kempton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Johnson.
She was born to Paul and Avis Moen in Arti-choke township, Minn., on Sept. 8, 1928, and was most recently a resident in Vacaville, Calif., for 13 years.
Darlaine was in the health and nutrition field for many years helping and healing people in need. Darlaine loved church, sewing, gardening and interior design.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends and enjoying her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3321 Farrell Road, Vacaville, with Pastor Mark Lewis officiating.
