Nov. 9, 1988 - Jan. 28, 2013
In loving memory of Brittney Karlberg Corkill, who passed away at the age of 24. Born Nov. 9, 1988 at Travis Air Force Base to Eric Olive Karlberg, stationed in Germany. She was great granddaughter to Bobby and Lois Gibson. They babysat Britt and Nicole and took both to gymnastic classes and all the things kids attended. Many a weekend was spent on stayovers, both loved the attention. Granddaughter to Phyllis and Chuck Sturm, Phyllis and Britt planned her senior prom for memories of a special day. Britt was beautiful.
Preceded in death by her great grandparents, Del and Lee Sturm; great great grandparents, John and Lucy Sarod; cousin, Justin Spicer, who took her on the back of his snowmobile and jet ski; cousin, Sierra Jensen, who spent time at Bob and Lois' playing with Nicole and Britt, she loved Britt more than anything. Everyone went to Disneyland.
Brittney was raised in Vacaville and attended Christian Academy and graduated from Vaca High 2006. Track and running was her passion. She had dreams of going to college to become a Marine Biologist or working with dolphins.
Past employed by Gone Fishin' Marine. She was employed by The Vacaville
when she became sick. She enjoyed her job and the friends she made there.
Britt was sister to Nicole Corkill, who she helped take care of, they loved and cared dearly for each other.
Brittney leaves behind family and friends who loved her. The family wishes to thank all who assisted her in her final illness. After a very long valiant struggle, the Angels took her to be with God. He will protect and love her for eternity.
According to her wishes there will be no service and interment was private.
Britt will always have a place in many hearts.
