Eugene "Gino" Bruno Obituary
July 14, 1929 - Feb. 8, 2014
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the death of our beloved Eugene "Gino" Bruno. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Joy Bruno, three daughters, three grandchildren, and a dear nephew.
Gino was born in San Mateo, Calif. He served on the front lines in the Korean War. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He was a master handball player and loved playing bocce ball. He enjoyed hiking, camping, and fly fishing. He was an active member and past president of the Sons of Italy. Our Gino was an "old-school" man. He was a pillar of strength for our entire family and will be greatly missed by all.
Please join us in celebrating his life and his contribution to all our lives. Services will be held at Holy Spirit Church, 1050 N. Texas St., Fairfield, at 11a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 15, with a reception immediately following at the Senior Center.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the "Sons of Italy Scholarship Fund". Scholarships will be made in his name. Donations should be made payable to: Sons of Italy Western Foundation Scholarship Fund and mailed to Grand Lodge of California, 5051 Mission St., San Francisco, CA 94118.
