Carolyn Denise (Harr) Moorhouse Obituary
July 22, 1955 - March 22, 2014

Carolyn Denise (Harr) Moorhouse, born in Scotia, CA July 22, 1955 went home to the lord March 22, 2014 at her home in Winters, CA; surrounded by her family. Carol was a devoted wife to her husband James Moorhouse, loving mother to children Alec Moorhouse and Kori (Moorhouse) Cadorin, and loving grandmother to the delight of her life, grandson Collin Cadorin.

Carol was the sparkplug in a family of four children born to Robert and Donna Harr. Carol is survived by brothers Robert and Bradford Harr and sister Janet (Harr) Nixon.

Carol centered her interest in animals at an early age. Her greatest joy growing up was to dress up her pet rats, cat, dog and in her teens her horses. Carol was an accomplished horsewomen training and showing in both western and gymkhana. Her many ribbons and trophies decorated her room.

She married her childhood sweetheart James Moorhouse on August 28th, 1976. Carol and Jim bought their first house in Fairfield, CA. They preferred the country life which led them to purchasing their first piece of land and building their home in the outskirts of Vacaville, CA, where they raised Alec and Kori. They sold their Vacaville property and bought a larger piece of land in Winters, CA where they built their present home and enjoyed farming. While raising their children, Carol with Jim found great joy in supporting them in their school and sport activities.

In addition to her devotion to her family, Carol worked as a health care provider in local convalescent homes and in private nursing. Her love and dedication were felt by all family and patients that she served.

Loving care was given to Carol by her husband Jim, sister-in-law Michelle, daughter Kori and sister Janet. Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations to the or Kidney Foundation. Services will be held on Saturday March 29th at 3pm, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - 311 Alamo Drive, Vacaville, CA. Reception to follow.
