It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of David Foster Crandall. Born on July 11, 1940, in Berkeley, David grew up in the Berkeley Hills, where he attended Berkeley High School.
After high school, he attended San Jose State University. David entered the United States Army in 1961. After the Army, he worked for the San Jose Police Department. In 1966, he became a proud member of the California Highway Patrol, where he served until his retirement in 1995.
In his spare time, David loved golf, working on his 40 Chevys and attending church.
David is survived by his wife, Lucy; and his children, Elida Mena, Henrriette Mena, David Andrew Crandall, David Glenn Crandall, Daniel Crandall and Katie Crandall.
A service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church, 209 North Jefferson St., Dixon, Calif., 678-2191.
The family requests that donations in David's memory be made to Allendale Union Church.
Interment will be private at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon.
