Diane Leber Obituary

May 24, 1962 - Aug. 31, 2010

Diane was born to Bob and JoAnn Mower on May 24, 1962, in Red Bluff, Calif. She passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 31 at her home in Dixon, Calif.

Diane grew up in Red Bluff before the family's move to Dixon in 1976. She graduated from Dixon High School in 1980. She went on to a very successful career at Vacaville Sanitary Service. Diane's life was dedicated to her family and many friends. Her home was always open and she enjoyed entertaining and cooking for the many friends she made over the years, especially the special friends in her neighborhood where she was fondly known as "Aunt Di." Most of all, Diane will be remembered as a loving wife to her husband, Brett, and the most caring and devoted mom to her daughter, Paige and her son, Carson. She also held a very special place in her heart for stepdaughter, Courtney, and husband, Jonathan Lamont, and their son, her grandson, Harbor.

Diane is survived by her parents, Bob and JoAnn Mower; sisters, Cindy Jones, Lynn Alarcon, and Denise Jacobs; mother-in-law, Ruth Leber; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Rayn and Karen (Brian) Duncan; and brothers-in-law, Art Leber and Wil Leber. Diane will be remembered as a fun and loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews, Matt and Shawn Pretti and Jared Jones, Rachelle (Craig) Cook, Samantha and Sherida Alarcon, Kent, Kortni, and Dakota Jacobs, Dimitri and Madison Mower, Justin Rayn and Misty (Jake) Miller, Ryan Lozano, KC Mertz, K-La Duncan, Tiffany and Stephanie Leber. Diane is also survived by her aunts, Sharleen (Peter) Cole and Judith Murphy; uncle, Jack (Liz) Mower; and their respective families.

Friends are invited to celebrate the life of Diane today at 12:30 p.m. at the Dixon Community Church. Burial to follow at the Silveyville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial account has been established at First Northern Bank in the name of Diane Leber.

Diane, forever in the hearts of all who loved you so very much.

Your baby sister

I miss you so much. I don't know how to get through this without you here helping us. None of us do. You have always been our rock and our strength. The glue that kept us all from falling apart in hard times. I am lost without you Diane. You are my sister AND my best friend, and I am grateful for the time I had with you, but devestated because it wasn't enough. I'm selfish, I want you here with me. With your husband and your babies. With Dad and Mom. With Cindy and Lynn. I know we have to keep on, but I don't want to. And I'm not sure how. I'm trying my hardest to be strong for all of us and for you, but so far it hasn't worked out too well. I will keep trying to be strong, but things are different now. And the pain of losing you will never leave my heart and soul. Just as you wont. I love you Diane Elizabeth....

Leber Family,

I am so very sorry for the loss of such a beautiful woman, inside and out! It has been years since I have spoken to Diane, but I can remember her as if it were yesterday. Aunt Dineann, (that's what I used to call her) left an imprint on my heart forever. Always so kind and loving to Courtney and I even when we were little bratty 13 year old girls. We never missed a meal when she was around and never lost our smiles either. I will forever remember her beautiful face and my love is with all of you. RIP Aunt Dineann you will be forever in our hearts! Love you Uncle Bret!! Stay strong Courtney.

My family and I were very fortunate to meet this wonderful person. For 3 years she was our landlord. And even after we bought our own home, she would always ask how we were doing and if we ever needed anything to let her know. Always had a smile from ear to ear, and that is how I will remember her.. happy and always helpful. Thank You and may you rest in peace.

She was such an amazing woman that I was lucky to have known since I was 10. One memory of her that always sticks out in my mind is the year she 'hired' me and my mom to wrap presents for her family for Christmas - little did we know that she bought enough gifts for the entire town of Dixon, it took us almost an entire month of nights after work to wrap them all in which time we could not see our living room floor. When she came to pick them up, she had to make three trips in her SUV to get all the gifts home. I will forever remember her for her warm, generous and caring spirit. She will truely be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Know that she will always be with you.
