A Memorial service for Emory Wayne "Luke" Easter, 80 of Vacaville, will be 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, at Epiphany Episcopal Church, 300 West St., in Vacaville. The Rev. Andrea Baker will officiate. Burial will follow on Monday, Oct. 22, at 1:30 p.m., at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery followed by a reception at Luke's Home.
Luke passed away at his home on Oct. 8, surrounded by his family after a brave, year-long battle with lung cancer. Luke was born in Shorts Creek, Virginia.
Luke worked in high voltage power production for the Department of Defense for 30 years before retiring from Syska Hennessy as a Facilities Manager.
Luke was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Lorna Easter.
He is survived by daughters, Diane Kesty, of Fresno, Donna Makowski, of Vacaville, Dee Torrington, of Rocklin; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
