Frank Perez Obituary

Nov. 11, 1921 - Oct. 27, 2010

A lifetime Solano County resident in Fairfield and Vacaville, Frank passed away at the age of 88, just a week and one day following the passing of his wife, Hazel.

Born of Spanish immigrants at the Red Cross facility at Cement Hill, Frank was raised in Vacaville on the corner of Mason and Elizabeth streets.

At the age of 18, he joined the Navy to serve in World War II as a ship's cook. Following the war, he went into Civil Service at Travis Air Force Base, where he worked until retirement in 1977.

Frank is survived by his sons, Frank Jr. and his wife Fayann Perez of Vacaville, Joseph and his wife Gayle Latona of Vacaville, and Jim and his wife Elvina Freeman of Fairfield; and brother, Joseph and his wife Isabel Perez of Sacramento. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchild-ren with two more on the way.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel; daughter, Connie; son, Joe Freeman; and his sister, Isabel.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
