Garth John McDaniel passed away on Nov. 30. He was born on Nov. 2, 1945 to Garth and Caroline Grace McDaniel in England. Garth graduated from Vacaville High School and then went on to become a Millwright Apprentice, eventually working at the C&H Sugar Refinery for 39 years.

Garth was an avid Gardener, for he loved his roses as if they were his children. He was also a Steelers Football fan and shotgun parts aficionado. Garth was also a proud member of the National Eagle Scouts Association as well as the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garth and Caroline; two sisters, Wendy and June.

Garth is survived by his wife Linda from Gardnerville, NV; brothers-in-law, Robert Bash of Florida and Ronald Kohanek of Oregon; nieces, Mychele Marshall of Vacaville, Carolyn Cameron of Oregon; nephews, David Shankles of Vallejo, Craig Kohanek of Oregon, and Robert Bash III of Colorado, as well as many other family and friends.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 West Texas St., Fairfield, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, then immediately following services will be a burial at Fairmont Memorial Park, 1901 Union Ave., Fairfield.
