Gary Kolvoord Obituary

Gary Kolvoord passed away on Sept. 24, 2010, after a 13-month battle with lung cancer.

His open to the public service will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620. On Friday Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at 11:45 in Dixon.

Gary was known for many attributes, but most of all a GREAT truck driver for more than 30 years. He will be missed by his companion Kathy Vaughn of Clear Lake where they resided for the past five years; his mother, Roselle Poulson of Bakersfield; his sister, Susan Kolvoord of Bakersfield; his brother, Jeff Kolvoord of Redding; his daughters, Lacey Robben of Dixon, Ashley Kolvoord of Tacoma Wash., and Melanie Gonzalez of Vacaville; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to North Bay Cancer Alliance in Gary Kolvoord's name to be used toward the Lake County Facility. Donations can be mailed to 185 Sotoyme St., Santa Rosa, CA 95405.
