Sabo, Geneva, Proud citizen of America's Greatest Generation, age 95, passed away on Oct. 20. Geneva was born on April 21, 1915, in Wayne, Kansas, the youngest of nine children. In 1948, she married MSgt Frank Sabo. Their three children were born on different military bases before the family relocated to England. In 1956, they moved to Vacaville where the kids were raised. Geneva relocated to Santa Rosa in 1990. Geneva is predeceased by her husband, Frank, in 1969, and her son, Michael, in 2004. She is survived by both of her daughters from Santa Rosa, Pat Sabo, and Pam Dowd (Dick). She is also survived by step grandsons, Ross Dowd (Marnie) and David Dowd, both of Santa Rosa. She leaves behind numerous nieces & nephews, grand nieces & nephews, and grand, grand, nieces and nephews. Geneva's family wishes to thank her caregivers at RV Gardens: Ray, Elsie, and Glee. Always one to laugh and enjoy life, Geneva leaves behind her loving family and countless friends.
A celebration of her life will be held Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at 3707 Autumn Glen Ct. in Santa Rosa. Donations may be made to Sutter VNA Hospice or Michael Sabo Memorial Scholarship Fund, 100 Monte Vista Ave., Vacaville, Calif., 9568. Arrangements by Daniels Chapel of the Roses Funeral and Cremation Services, 525-3730.
