Jerald "Jerry" Greenwood, 68, of Vacaville, died March 18 at home surrounded by his family after a two year battle with cancer. Born in San Pablo, Dec. 20, 1944.
Jerald was a carpenter for 23 years and retired in 1988. He was also the owner of Greenwood Trucking for 18 years and retired in 2007.
He loved to hunt, fish and was a die hard SF 49'er fan. Proud member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Survived by wife Carmen Greenwood; daughter, Diana Forster of Dixon; son, Jay Greenwood of Vacaville; daughter in-law, Kay Greenwood and son in-law, Scott Forster; brothers, Harvey, Gus and Louie Greenwood, Roman Serda and Bill Jackson; sister in-law, Dolores Serda, Barbara and Terry Greenwood; three grandchildren, Cassie Marie and Cody Marier, Vacaville; Jessica Forster, Dixon and Jacob Greenwood, Vacaville; numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry's beloved dogs, Chiu and Minnie.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Mae and Wilson Greenwood; his Beloved sister, Clara Faye Jackson; brother, Dick Greenwood and sister in-law, Betty Greenwood.
Services will be private. Contributions may be made to Kaiser Hospice.
