Mary Louise (Holden) Haley died Tuesday, Sept. 25. Mary is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Haley and Diane (Vanderbogart) McGinnis; two grandchildren, Theresa (Cicchetto) Peebles and James Seymour; a great-grandson, Thomas Peebles; and one grandson-in-law, Doyle Peebles. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marion Haley Sr., and her son, James Marion Haley Jr.

Mary was a retired Aero Space Engineer. Some of her achievements were working on the Mercy Mission which she was in the "Who's Who" for her thesis, and the design of the Tilt Rotor Vertical takeoff control system. In addition, she was one of the first Women Engineers.
Her love for mathematics was only out surpassed by her passion for the game of bridge. Whether it was teaching novice players or attending tournaments, she spent the last 30 years of her life enjoying, building, and helping to maintain a vibrant bridge community. She will be missed by all who knew her.
