Mittie M. Jones - Neade Dec. 8, 1915 - Feb. 16, 2014
Mittie passed away peacefully on Feb. 16 during an extended hospital stay following a debilitating fall. Mittie was born on Georgia Mesa near Molina CO and lived near Grand Junction with her parents, Bela and Alba Moore. She married Clyde D. Jones and they were blessed with four children, John (Sandi) Jones, Marilee Jones, Bonnie (Bob) Hultman, and Beverly Pendley. The family resided in the Texas Panhandle until coming to Modesto CA in 1953. Mittie and Clyde came to Vacaville in 1961 where she worked for Basic Foods and the Vacaville school cafeteria system. Clyde died in 1983 and after years as a widow, Mittie married Nicolas L Neade. Mittie was a long time member of the Christian Church of Vacaville (DOC) where she played piano for many years. She also attended the First Baptist Church of Vacaville until the passing of husband Nick. In addition to her children, she leaves 10 grand children, 19 great grand children and eight great-great-grand children and the many other family and friends who loved her. We will all miss her. There will be a memorial service Friday, Feb. 28, at The Christian Church of Vacaville, 66 Vine St. at 11 am. and burial at Vacaville Elmira Cemetery at 2 p.m.
