Nathan was born in Salinas, CA. He served in the U.S. Marines and later worked for the Solano County Sheriff's Dept. After retirement, he later worked as a dispatcher.
Nathan had many hobbies. He could fix anything electronic. Friends would seek Nate out and he never disappointed them. He and his son enjoyed fixing and racing their RC cars. Nate was knowledgeable, ask him anything history and military related and you would get the correct answer!
Nathan loved his family more than anything. He was a super dad! He was always there to help others. He will be greatly missed and remembered as a happy, always joking, very proud Marine with a heart of gold.
Nathan is survived by his wife, April; son, Nathan, Jr.; daughter, Ashlyn; brother, Kenneth (Sharon) Wold; sisters, Traci (Terry) Pedretti and Kristine (Wilbur) Layman; mother, Ida (John) Brady; father, Fred (Carolyn) Wold; in-laws, Henry (Nancy) Villa; aunts, Jackie Spillum, Barbara (Paul) Hultberg; uncle, Brad (Debbie) Wold; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Barbara Spillum, Earl and Roseanne Wold, and Pearl Wold and his uncle, Bruce Spillum.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 18, at 11 a.m., at Dixon United Methodist Church, 209 N. Jefferson St., Dixon. A reception will follow the service at the church. Committal service 2 p.m., at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Midway Rd., Dixon.
