At her request, there will be no services for Ramona Prink, 81, of Vacaville, who passed away at her home on Saturday, Dec. 25.
She was born to Virginia and Lyle Mee on Jan. 10, 1929, in Great Falls, Mont., where she spent the first 22 years of her life.
In 1952, she married Robert Stansbury and embarked on a life of adventure. Robert was in the Air Force and later was a government contractor; and together they traveled half the world. They lovingly raised three daughters during this time, giving their children a firsthand look at the incredible world in which they lived. They settled in Vacaville in 1973, and made their home here. Following Robert's death in 1991, Ramona married Vernon Prink and moved to Colorado in 1992, where they lived for three years before returning to Vacaville in 1995.
A woman of gentle strength and determination, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Wherever the family lived, she always made it a home filled with love, laughter and joy. She loved sewing, knitting and crocheting; watching baseball, football and NASCAR; and spending time with her family, friends and her cats.
Mrs. Prink is survived by her daughters, Shauna Manina of Vacaville, Sandra Zarfoss of North Pole, Alaska; and Sheila Stansbury of Modesto; four great-grandchildren, Steven, Jessica, Kaycie and Kamie and one great-great grandson, Tyler Reed.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Stansbury in 1991; her second husband, Vernon Prink in 2000; and her much beloved granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Janne-Marie and Jerry Sturgill.
Mrs. Prink was an animal lover and the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Solano County SPCA, P.O. Box 356, Vacaville. CA 95696.
