It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Lee (Dick) Lowdon announce his passing at the age of 82.
He leaves to mourn him his beloved wife, Julia; his brother, Caley Lowdon, his children, Priscilla (John) Best, Richard Lowdon Jr, Vernon (Tammy) Lowdon, Laura Chapman (Leif) and Sarah Lowdon (George); grandchildren, Charles (Jill) Best, Nathan (Shannon) Thompson, Anthony (Byanka) Best, Kimberly (Brian) Moore, Caitlin Chapman, Angelica Navarro, Ashley Lowdon and Nicholas Lowdon; great grandchildren, Julia Lowdon (who is following his footsteps into the Air Force), Patrick Zapeda, Gracie Best, Delaney Best, Lilah Best, Brielle Thompson and Abigail Best; life long friends his other kids Jim Clark, Debbie Thompson, Vicky Russell and Dawn Valdez; many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janie Lowdon, and his parents, Richard and M. Priscilla Lowdon.
He will be remembered for his kind, loving nature. He would give his last dime if he thought you needed it, even to a stranger. He loved a good joke and to laugh even when he shouldn't. He was loved.
His inurnment will be at the Sacramento Valley Veterans Cemetery in Dixon on today, Tuesday, July 16, at 2:30 p.m.
