Robert (Bob) Owen was born Aug. 28, 1944, in Dahlgren, Ill. He passed away peacefully on Nov. 1 at home in Heron, Mont., with his family by his side.
In 1963, he joined the United States Air Force, where he left as a sergeant in 1967. During his time in the Air Force he moved to California, where he made his home. Bob was a stubborn man and hated to lose. He was a race car driver for many years and cars were his passion in life. Bob worked at Chevron Research in Richmond, Calif., for 33 years before retiring in 2001. He and his wife of 10 years moved to Montana in 2008 to retire. They made their home here together with the animals Robert loved so dearly.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Janice Owen; sons, Michael, Christopher (Steven) Owen; their mother, Dolores, and Ron Peppers; daughters, Tiffany (Gerald) Torrey, and Brittany Shepherd; grandchildren, Katie Owen, Christopher Owen and Colton Torrey; along with several step-grandchildren. Bob also survived by his dogs and lots of friends and family.
Mr. Owen was preceded in death by his mother, Vynella; father, Roy; sister, Laura Mae; and his dog, Max.
Friends and Family are invited to attend services Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, Calif.

Janice & Family,
I was so sorry to here of Bob's passing. You are in our prayers and thoughts. I know that is hard right now, but I do know that remembering alot of good memories are what will keep you going. Take care of yourself.
