A celebration of life for Roe Campbell, 93, of Vacaville, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 10, at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 4910 Allison Parkway, Vacaville, with Pastor Curtis Miller officiating. Burial will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Roe passed away following a brief stay at the hospital.
Roe was born March 5, 1920, in Marion County, IL on his family farm. He was one of seven children. He relocated to Vacaville from Sacramento in 1954. Roe served his nation in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the SS Del Brazil and was stationed in the New Hebrides Islands as a Seabee for the duration of the war. After retiring from the Jewel Tea Company as a manager in 1979, Roe followed his dream of becoming a Real Estate Broker. He started his second career in real estate working for other agencies before starting his own business, Village Realty. Roe loved to play golf, was a hunter, a fisherman, and all around avid sportsmen.
Roe was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Esther M. Campbell. He is survived by his son, Keith A. Campbell; daughters, Linda L. Jones and Nancy L. Peters; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Oscar and Edgar Campbell and sister, Annabelle Cantwell. Memorial contributions can be made to the
