Wilma graduated from Vacaville and Monticello schools
She graduated from Napa Valley College, and the University of California, Davis. She was a lifelong resident of Vacaville.
She retired after 32 years as a registered nurse with Fairfield Intercommunty and a charge nurse with Woodland Memorial Hospital.
Wilma was a volunteer with the Vacaville Police Department and the Solano/Contra Costa County Food Bank programs. She served as Solano County's program manager for more than 25 years.
She had five children, Tom, Jerry and Mark McLaughlin, Judy Stone and Jean Papin; sister, Birtie Mendes; brothers, Casey Yates and Gerald Dawson
A Celebration of Life will take place on Dec. 9, at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 1127 Davis St., Vacaville, Calif. Pastor LeRoy Gainey and Pastor Mark McLaughlin will be officiating.
