Roy Case, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 12. Roy was born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan. He joined the military when he was 17 and traveled around the world during his 24 years in the Air Force. While stationed in Arizona he met Elizabeth (Beth) Wagner, fell in love and married in 1953.
Roy was in the Air Force for 24 years and was stationed to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, South Carolina, France and retired from the Air Force in Vacaville after being stationed at Travis in California. After leaving the Air Force Roy took a position at the Vallejo Post Office and retired after 20 years.
Roy attended Saint Mary's and Saint Joseph's Catholic Churches in Vacaville was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. Roy enjoyed sailing and picnicking at Folsom Lake with family and friends for many years, but took up golf with a passion after he retired from the Post Office. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Beth and their 4 sons and their wives, Glenn (Susie), John (Joyce), Steven (Lisa) and Matthew (Tracy); nine grandchildren, Wendy, Geoffrey, Kristen, Brittney, Jamie, Taylor, Emily, Sarah, and Hannah.
A rosary service will be held at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 17, at 9:30 a.m., with a funeral Mass following at 10 a.m.
