Lyle was born to Frank and Arabella Cullum, Oct. 25, 1933 in Clinton, Arkansas. His family moved from Arkansas to Suisun, CA when he was nine. He graduated from Armijo High School in 1952 where he was known as one of the "Touchdown twins". He was a veteran, serving in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from Campos Food Fair after 38 years. Lyle married his high school sweetheart, Eleanor Lozano, together they raised three children. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and a round of golf with his friends. He belonged to the Sirs 99, Moose Lodge, Armijo Alumni Association, Retail Clerks and in earlier years USARC now known as PACE. He along with many of his family members worked very hard to establish community based services for the developmentally disabled in Fairfield and Vacaville.

Lyle is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor; children, Rod (Lene), Jerry, Lorie (Jim) and five grandchildren, Brian, Scott, Matt, Mark and Petie; brothers, J.F. Cullum and Bill Cullum of Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Lorene Morris, Rosie Mae Nicholson, Arzo Cullum, Leo Cullum, Cleo Boyd, Fern Huffman and Dean Scrivner.

Many thanks to all the wonderful Sutter and Northbay doctors and nurses that worked so hard to improve the quality of his life.

Services wiill be held at The Rockville Cemetery Stone Chapel, Thursday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Rockville Cemetery, 4219 Suisun Valley Road.
