Robert "Bob" Chambers passed away in his home in Elk Grove, Calif.
Bob was born in Marion, Ind., to Russell L. Chambers Sr. and Anna M. (Fay) Chambers.
He attended Marion High School. He earned an electrical construction welders certification and worked in the nuclear power industry. He served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War era as a casualty report clerk at Ft. Jackson, S.C. He came to California in the early 1980s. He worked at Napa State Hospital 24 years and retired as a registered nurse.
Bob is survived by his long-term companion, Leslie Marcley of Elk Grove, Calif.; three daughters, Emily (Dana) Brown of Tennessee, Tyila (Marcelto) Cooks of Georgia and Sheila Ann Chambers; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and two brothers, Russell L. (Mony) Chambers of North Carolina and Richard V. (Charlene) Chambers of California.
