Edward Leon Wagoner (Super Ed), age 81, passed away on Nov. 2, after a short illness. He served in the USAF for 22 years retiring as a flight engineer. He served in post war Austria where he met and married his wife Erika. He served in the Korean conflict and four tours in Vietnam and Thailand, earning a Meritorious Service Medal and many formal commendations for his service.
Ed was a member of the Solano Yacht Club, Ben Ali Shriners, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Montezuma Shrine Club, Masonic Lodge, Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, Eagles and Model A Club. Ed was the life of every party, his jokes and spontaneous songs were legendary among his friends and acquaintances. Heaven is a happier place now and his family and friends will sorely miss the energetic and positive force of nature that was Ed.
Ed is survived by his wife, Erika; daughters, Brigitte (Jay) Bauer-Hellman, Margaret (David) Howerton; son, Walter Henry (Esther) Wagoner; eight grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Bernice (Wayne) Morgan and brothers, Lewis (Ruth) Wagoner, Jack (Patricia) Wagoner, Kenneth Wagoner and Earl (Jan) Wagoner. He is preceded in death by his son, Edward Charles Wagoner; brothers, Bill Wagoner, Richard Wagoner, and his parents, Bertha and John Wagoner.
