Allan Joseph Tiffany, 87, passed away on Feb. 9, with his family by his side. Allan was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, uncle and friend to all who knew him. Al was born in San Francisco to Don and Bertha Tiffany and was the youngest of four mischievous sons. Al grew up in San Francisco and Vallejo enjoying life to the fullest. Al joined the army in 1943 at the age of 18 and served in the South Pacific with the 77th infantry division. During his years of service he was awarded two bronze stars for bravery. After his discharge Al returned to Vallejo where he met the love of his life Evelynne Bennett of Vallejo, and they enjoyed 65 years of marriage.
Al worked for AT&T for 35 yaers before retiring at an early age. Father of two and grandfather of three, Al enjoyed camping, fishing, famiy outings, wine tasting and family and friends. Al also enjoyed the S.F. Giants and 49ers, the good years and the bad ones. he is survived by wife, Evelynne; son, Gary (Robin); daughter, Suzie; grandchildren, Kelle, Bryan, Tiffany (Colin) and numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. He will be missed and his love and positive influence in all of us will be remembered and passed onto future generations. Goodbye Al, Big Al, dad, grandpa, uncle and friend, you are truly in the Lords hands.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m., at McCune Garden Chapel, in Vacaville. The family of Al would like to thank Sutter AIM/Hospice. Because of their timely, kind and compassionate care, Al remained at home and received care from family, friends and a wonderful Hospice team. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Sutter or a cancer foundation of your choice.
Al's family met so many caring companssionate people during his ordeal with cancer, chemo and radiation. Thank you to all who cared for him. We will never forget you.
