Charles Arthur Mahon III, 81 passed away on March 5, in Fairfield, CA. Charles was born on Sept. 2, 1931 in Seminole, OK, moved with his parents to Calif., during World War II. After graduating from High School he enlisted in the Air Force and served during the Korean conflict. In 1980 , after receiving Unit Citations and numerous awards for his meritorious service he retired as Chief Master Sergeant, and opened Vacaville Surplus and Armory.
Chuck enjoyed target shooting, and loved John Wayne movies, and Western and War movies. He was interested in old cars, especially Classic Cadillacs.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret; his son, Charles IV; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Mahon, Edward and Aurora Mahon; sister, Pat Metzner and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Arthur Mahon II and Anna Belle Mahon.
Private family services with full Military Honors have been held. He will be sourly missed by his cats, BooBoo and Sally.
