Casey John Walker, beloved son of Parthenia Burley and Will Walker, was called to heaven on Thursday, Nov. 21, in Oakland, Calif.
Casey grew up in Northern California and made his home in the Bay Area. He played baseball and basketball throughout grade school in Crescent City, Calif. He was chosen for All-Star teams in both little league and Babe Ruth and played for the Crescent Elk basketball A team in 8th grade.
He attended Grace Lutheran Church in Crescent City, Calif.
Casey attended Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville, 2001-2004. He was listed on the National High School Who's Who Honors list, and graduated from Rodriguez High School in Fairfield, in 2005. He was a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, graduating from Blake Austin College in Vacaville in 2009.
Casey loved music and spent countless hours writing lyrics and rapping in the studio. In 2005, his talent won him the opportunity to perform on stage during a concert for Snoop Dog and The Game.
Casey was a loud and avid sports fan, loyal always to the Tennessee Titans and the L.A. Lakers, and would let you know he'd take Koby over Jordan any day.
Casey's larger-than-life personality and unique sense of humor was irresistible. His smile lit up the room and he made everyone he met feel like family. He encouraged us all to enjoy life, do well and stay positive. Casey's heart was his family, and he was happiest sharing good times with them. He was friend, cousin, big brother and sweet son. He will be missed forever.
Casey leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Parthenia Burley of Fairfield and Will Walker of Berkeley; brothers, Jared Walker, Vincent Jackson and Anthony Burley of Fairfield, and Justin Walker of Berkeley; step siblings, Jena, Jace and Tabitha Pruitt; grandparents, Bob and Elizabeth Freeman of Crescent City, and Willie Jean Walker of Fairfield; as well as numerous aunties, uncles and cousins throughout California.
He is preceded in death by his much loved "Papa", Willie E. Walker and Uncle Monroe Freeman.
