FILIPPA ROMANO Filippa Romano, 79, of North Wales, entered into God's eternal care Thursday, June 20, 2013 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Palermo Sicily, Italy, she immigrated to the U.S. in 1965, and had resided in the Hamilton Township area for most of her life, before moving to North Wales with her husband three years ago. Filippa was an expert seamstress who worked for several different companies through the years, including Cooper Company, and Hamilton Formal Wear. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. James Church and a member of the San Calogero Society as well as the St. Joseph's Society. Filippa was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to sew, cook, and clean, but her family and her grandchildren were the most important part of her life and she cherished them. Daughter of the late Gerolamo and DiFalco (Rosaria) Moriale Calandra; mother of the late Sergio Romano; she is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Adam S. Romano; her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Theresa Romano; her daughter-in-law, Diana Romano; five grandchildren, Sergio Jr., Thomas, Jenna, Christina and Julia Romano; a sister and brother-in-law, Gina and Antonio Camerlengo of Italy; a sister-in-law, Maria and her husband Adolfo Giordano; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30AM Monday, June 24 at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 29 East Paul Ave., N. Trenton, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Ln., Hamilton, NJ. Family and friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7PM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Just hear about Fina's passing. She was a warm and loving person. Enjoyed the Italian lessons that you and Fina gave on Tuesday nights.

I am so sorry to read of dear Fina's passing. She was an amazing woman -- so talented and gifted! I feel so blessed to have been influenced by her in my youth, and will always carry the many lessons she taught me close to my heart.
